57 out of 100 in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
The EcoVadis Sustainability Rating assesses a company’s sustainability performance across four key areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
ehotel achieved 64 out of 100 for Ethics, 63 out of 100 for Labour & Human Rights, 54 out of 100 for Environment and 34 out of 100 for Sustainable Procurement. The overall score is 57 out of 100, which EcoVadis classifies as “Good”.
Among the top 26% in our industry
In addition to the overall score, EcoVadis provides a benchmark of sustainability performance within the relevant industry. Overall, ehotel ranks among the top 26% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the travel agency, tour operator and other reservation service activities sector.
The results are even stronger in individual areas: ehotel ranks among the top 16% for Labour & Human Rights, the top 18% for Ethics and the top 29% for Environment among companies assessed in the industry.
Assessing and improving sustainability performance transparently
EcoVadis assesses companies taking into account their industry, size and geographical location. Company data and supporting documentation are analysed and reviewed by international sustainability experts.
The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000. In addition to their rating, companies receive benchmarks and insights that help them continuously develop their sustainability performance.
For ehotel, the rating therefore goes beyond an assessment of our current performance. It provides transparency on where we already have a strong foundation and where there is further potential for development.
Sustainability in the business travel process
Our solutions also help companies incorporate sustainability considerations into their hotel programmes and business travel processes. These include transparent CO₂ data at the point of sale, detailed CO₂ and sustainability reporting, integrated CO₂ offsetting and comprehensive sustainability filters within the hotel search.
This provides greater transparency for business travellers and companies, as well as information that can support our customers’ own ESG and CSR objectives.
